I’ll make the bad news portion of this post short because the part I am really interested in is gonna be a request for some help.
This is a story out of North Carolina about a woman who fought a year long battle with her contractor because he failed to live up to her expectations. However there is a lot more to the story than is just on the surface….
There is a lot of blame to be placed on her when you deal with a company that “(h)as a history of not responding to customers. The company has an F rating with the BBB and
eight unanswered complaints.” Yowza. Did she not even research the company when she hired them? How many times have I said on the blog that the number one thing you can do (well…aside from using Safepact.com to securely hold your money) is research the company? And what’s the number one research place I show you? The BBB
No one should ever have their job be botched by a contractor, and no one should ever have to go through the hassle of having a bad contractor experience (heck it’s why we started Safepact in the first place), but sometimes when a customer is pointing the finger at their contractor, they need to notice the three fingers pointing back at them.
